I wanted to build this kit as soon as I got it a few months back so now seems like a good time to build it before I get bogged down with the next big build I hope to see a few of you popping in from time to time I've been warned this kit has some issues

I've built the kit, in its bare ICM Russian flavour, not a bad kit, subassemblies can be fiddly, as can the intakes.
Take your time, test fit everything before using the glue and have the filler ready. You'll be right, its not the world's worst MiG-29 kit (that honour IMHO, goes to Hasegowa and Fujimi's ill proportioned monstrosities, perpetuated on unsuspecting modellers before the fall of the Iron Curtain and the 29's dimensions became known) They were both visibly off dimensionally because Hase and Fujimi worked from photos of the aircraft alone, with nothing else of known dimensions in the photos for proportion.

Yes I know, I was referring to the fact that previous issues of the kit only had Russian numerals and national markings on the decal sheet.

I've built about 3 of em in the Russki flavour kits, it was the first of the 9:13 kits as I recall (9:13 variant was the first MiG 29 with a large dorsal spine, incorporating extra fuel tanks and electronic gear IIRC)

OK got the grey bottom and off white done but it highlighted a bad join at the nose end, I've filled it again and got to leave it to dry fully before I rub it down and respray the front end. The paint did not spray very well but seemed to dry out better I thinned it with Vallejo thinners
