Looking really good... what was it about the truck kit that you didn't like?

Thanks guys
JC the truck kit was tedious and fiddly, featuring poor engineering and fit. Parts location was not made clear in many instances and often I'd be looking at a locating hole that was .020" or so with a .040" pin that was supposed to mate up. On one side the rear wheels split when I installed the rim sections, and quite a few of the small parts were broken on the trees. Just little stuff like that, not what I would have prefered on a model kit that retails for $63 I was not favorably impressed.

Yer welcome JC Thanks OJ and this one surely was. I've done their Studebaker US6 offering a couple times and that was not nearly as mean. Not been over faithful to the bench lately but more has been done General layout established First three stages of base building and painting A little more figure work Am trying a new technique since traditional figure painting is something I'm not very good at, I was bad enough with enamels and the quick drying acrylics made it even worse. Here I'm applying multiple coats of very thin paint a day or so apart and it looks promising but the day ain't over yet Regards, Mark

Pony looks great, truck too. You're doing some great switch hitting. I have to retool my brain most of the time to switch betwixt armor, ac, or figs. Great concept and layout, btw! That's a good looking set of figures, too, look well detailed.

Thanks gents Ski I figure if I change it up I may stave off senility Have more done Grass painted but not finished. The base is actually much further along, as in done but for a variety of reasons I can't show it yet Since the Krauts would not throw their food on the ground I scratched up a table and the Krauts themselves. Uniforms are done, flesh tones in base. I did the flesh base color with enamel so they'll need a couple days to cure fully before I start detailing arms and faces Regards, Mark

Mostly because every now and then the pic loader on these boards sends to throw a tantrum now and then. I'm on another Forums that uses these same Proboards and it happens there too. Return in a few hours to a day or so and you'll see everything fine.

Thank you gents
Funny how the stuff I toss together in a random fashion turns out better than my meticulous planning. Perhaps there's a lesson in that
