I have a question for you tank guys. On the last page of the Churchill manual it had this odd thing asking you to make 2 of them but it doesn't show where it goes or what the heck it is. If you know please tell me I'm going nuts about it. Starting to think they just put some silly thing in there just to see if someone would build it. LOL. But seriously it even has decals I haven't put on yet nor have I painted it but I will oh yes I will.

IT looks to me like a spigot mortar,something to fire at obstructions to clear them or create huge holes in building/walls

I've just checked and the AVRE fired a HESH, high explosive squash head round, odd that the colour is white,grey,white as I always thought HE was olive with yellow markings or light blue with white markings unless these colours are a later NATO thing

THATS IT. Thank you so much. The colors you mentioned are exactly the same as the instruction. Its the blue that threw me.

I am very blessed to have the space and being currently single to get away with having multiple projects going on at the same time. I can get complacent very easy so moving around from one to another multiple time a day keeps me frosty. Besides that the way shipping is these days you could wait weeks for a part that's holds up the build. Like the Ghostbusters build is pushing 2 years now.

The Churchill with bridge is done, except for painting of course. I am so impressed with Resicast on the conversion kit. It was so easy to construct I was done in only a couple of hours. They even give you one extra part of each just in case a part breaks or falls into the land of model parts. Who does that?

A word or two on resin kits. For me I just love them. Yes its a bit more work with resin but in most cases the subject matter is not something your going to see everyday. It does take more than a few to get comfortable with resin for me anyway and some scratch building skills are helpful. A quality maker is key. I've bought some real garbage resin kits and learned my lesson to buy from makers that are focused on just resin. Some of my favorites are HPH, Blackdog, Panzer Shop, and Resicast. Lastly I prefer a conversion kits over full resin kits. I like the structured plastic kit in place to stabilize the resin parts because some larger parts can have warping. One of these days when I can save enough dough I want to get a 3d resin printer and make my own parts maybe even an entire kit. What are your guys thoughts on resin?

Anyway I'm very happy to add the tank to the ever growing diorama that is quickly stacking up with stuff. I sure hope I can pull this off. I included a sneak peak. Some painting is underway.

Thank you. That would be cool in 1/72 and I think your in luck. I am certain I saw one in my recent research for this build. Soon as I find where I'll message you the link. I am getting into 1/72 aircraft lately. As soon as I get a little better at it I'll show some. 1/72 is a different discipline for sure.

Thanks Jon! I do already have the Churchill bridgelayer built. It's the buildings and bridge I need to find in my scale. Preferably with complete buildings; I don't like the three sided facades I see on most dios for some reason. 

That being said, your paint and weathering is really looking stellar! I am amazed at the realism already, even though you aren't done yet!

Talk about break-neck speed, sheeesh! Jon, do you ever stop to,...well,............ya know,..............eat or sleep? Just a hair over 12 days and you're already knocking out the ground work, YIKES!

Thank you all for the great comments. Yes I sleep but not much. Anyway I am now pretty much finished with painting the base. I still have some details to add such as street lamps and other odds and ends. I' am really looking forward to adding the models and figures. To answer the resin question yes I will be adding a river shortly.
