A bit more highlighting,shading and a little base colour wash. First attack with dark pigments on the puttees. Tried to put some wood grain effects on the club but I didn't like how light it needed to be to show up so its a bit hard to see. Taking a step back from the uniform and will start the flesh tomorrow.

Thanks OZ and Joe. When I get him on his base he will be slightly more upright but the stance will still suite the pose. Another darker wash has been added and I am happy with the skin tones now,I'm hoping he looks suitably dull/dirty just don't enlarge the pics too much as it looks a bit like a dodgey paint by numbers 😳

The base has now been sealed with thinned down shellac varnish (donated by my work place 😉) which has done a great job due to its brown tint. A few washes of cheap brown watercolours ready for proper painting, a bit nervous if I'm honest 😬
