Mach2burnout you nailed the build with the 1:1 car!!! Well played and nice addition to the MOM!!! I put them all in one thread for you! All the best, Joe Thank you sir! I had a little informational help from Mr. Harper’s son to get the details right. The owner of the car was Francis Harper! The class was A Class (which later became Late Model), if Mr. Harper showed up, everybody might as well load up! BTW the my is Kyle.

Jed, your entry is cool as heck! I just really noticed the cycle front end. I’ve never seen anything like that!

Just a little background on my build. It started life as the Monogram ‘66 Malibu “Street Rat” that I built to 100% stock as the kit came out of the box, with only detail painting and the OoB decals. I built it 25 or so years ago. It got stored in my old open work shop in a cardboard box 20 or more years ago. The box had rotted and all the cars(about 20) felt out in the dirt. And laid there for 10 or so years. I went out and started clearing the old building to tear it down a few years ago and picked up as many pieces to all the cars as possible and boxed them back up. FF to 2020 and I decided I wanted to do a junkyard build, something I haven’t done in years.
The one piece, flip front end was carefully separated and the scoop removed from the hood. The hole in the hood was filled and smoothed and tabs added to the back corners of the fenders to hold the hood in place. A 66 skylark race car was the source of some parts of the roll cage. Other parts were hand built. The tires from the Skylark were used, but grooved. Some expanded metal was used for the window screen and grill sourced from my business card holder off my office desk. All fenders were cut to match as closely to the rough cuts of the actual car depicted in the photo(s). All lettering were home made decals specific for this car and/or hand painted.
Only 3 photos exist and were available of the 1:1 car!
