Not done any USA armor in quite a while. Going to give this Takom M60A1 a try. I might leave off the big spotlight as I think it looks goofy but we'll see when I get to that point. Going to start on it later on this week.

Great choice indeed John. Personally I like the oversized searchlight.

I'm thinking of trying my hand at armor and this looks like a great subject. I'll be watching.

Yeah I know that feeling, I had to go under the house today and replace the water filter for the whole house... was plugged up... I hate plumbing!!! It was supposed to be good until April... oh well!!!

That's a good kit, well engineered and as far as I know good fit too. I have one in the stash, and have built a couple of the hulls for other projects, and I like the workable compromise between excellent detail and reasonable parts count, a lot like Tamiya's newer kits.

I've gotten a start on the lower hull. Sorry, no pics yet. You're right Russ, nice detail without a bazillion parts count. So far the fit has been good and I'm real happy to see Takom has made their parts attachment points a lot smaller. Still thinking on how I want to paint this up, MERDC or tri-color NATO. We'll see when I get there.

OK, lower hull done as is the road wheels and drive sprocket. Wheels are just dry fitted at this point. All this only took a few hours to do. Nice fit and parts only require minimal cleanup. On to the upper hull.
