Cool idea Jed. Just one question through on the side bed rails? In the original photo its hard to tell but don't they only come to the halfway height of the window?

Hi Joe, yes they do, also the bed looks to be level with the top of the rear mudguard which would mean cutting the rear deck down too,for this a bed would have to be made with a shallower step to cover the engine still,as I'd made the mistake of glueing a step too far I didn't want to cut even more out and risk breaking something, I still have time to re-think the build and maybe I should attempt the cut. 🤔

Cutting down the bed made a big difference, I think replacing the wood will make it perfect.

Many thanks AG and Joe, with tonight's half hour when I get in I think I will change the sides for styrene,the wood is just too thick If you use two layers of flat stock you can cut out the ovals windows like in the picture on the top layer and then glue to a solid piece leaving the indentation look... glue a piece of rounded stock to the top edge for the bead look...

The .04 Half Round would probably fit your needs, if you caan find it, Jed. I believe Ebay also has it.
