Placed a rather large AMMO order for paints and weathering supplies today... the rest of the Armor Encyclopedia set is on the way too...

Very nice Joe! Happy Birthday to me! These are three items that came in for my birthday. This one was a bit unexpected; my sister Kat sent this to me out of the blue: These two I bought for myself with Christmas money. I'd been wanting these for quite some time: Military version: Civilian version: Yay!

WOW, Mark! Fantastic! Those buses are cool! And let us know how the decal tray works out. I've never seen that item, before.

Thanks Joe! I also have that same larger scale bus from Airfix; it is part of a two-kit set with a fire truck. Duel build maybe? I do have to find that set first though.
Thanks Bucky! I agree, these buses are so awesome! I'll let you know about that decal tray when I get to a decal stage on something. I am kinda eager to try it out also.

I would be game for a mini duel build down the road... adding the figures will be fun and maybe a small base...

Cool Joe! That will give me time to try and find that set again.
Thanks Jed! I'm looking forward to breaking in that decal tray.

Look what came in the mail today! And yes the ladies and gentlemen are included with the T's!!! This is what's in the boxes: They both use the same running gear and many parts are the same. The actual vehicles body is different... and the figures are also... the Fire Engine kit I bought earlier is also part of this collection...

Touring car, speedster, fire engine...aside from the obvious out-of-the-box collection, I see nearly endless conversion possibilities. These are all relatively new kits with modern tooling, right? I'm not a car modeler, but would I be wrong to assume that the level of detail on these is far superior to that found in older hot rod kits? It strikes me that one of these might make an excellent foundation for a hot rod/rat rod model.

You are correct Beekster, they are new tooling and very detailed... if you go to my Ambulance build you will see one of their other Model T's only in 1/35th scale! These could be turned into many different rides and hot rod/rat rods would be very cool too!!!

What's most surprising to me is, that she wouldn't let her boy friend drive the Speedster!

If he wants to stay in her good graces he will let her drive, ha, ha, ha!!! Many times. My wife can be quite the hot shoe when she has a mind to. Back when we used to autocross a couple of decades ago, she won a couple of local SCCA class championships (as did I). She also holds the household speed record. Back in 1998, on the return from a cross-country MBCA trip, we drove across a truly deserted stretch of Utah highway 6 in our 190E 2.3-16. She cranked it up to a buck and a quarter and held it there for half an hour. The car just purred; never broke a sweat.
