Sliced my thumb really bad on a vegetable slicer making dinner tonight after working all day... drove 20 miles to the ER after eating the dinner Red made cause it wouldn't stop bleeding.. the head nurse on shift is a client I just sold a house to so she took very good care of me! Got me right in with the doctor on duty, took my vitals, cleaned it and put a mesh clotting cloth on, wrapped it and I was out in 1/2 an hour...
Needless to say I am typing slower and won't be painting or gluing plastic for a while as its my right hand...

OUCH, Joe!!! I've nicked mine before while shredding cheese, but that sounds bad. Hope it heals quickly!

Throbbing pain most of the night but I'll survive... luckily the bandage is dry so it obviously stopped the bleeding... supposed to leave this on for two days then change it daily...

You and me both Bruce!!! I'll have a new airbrush to learn how to use and its my right thumb.... yes I'm right handed so right now can't do much of anything... zipping pants is interesting, gonna wear sweats & pullovers for a while, no button shirts... ha, ha!!!

Very deep and no skin flap to reattach... about a half inch hole... throbbing finally slowing down... took a nice long afternoon nap, ha, ha!!!

Potatoes on a kitchen mandoline slicer, the part that holds the potato slipped off its track leading my thumb into the blade Bruce... happened so fast I didn't even realize how bad it was until I lifted my hand and saw blood pouring everywhere...
