Vietnam? Probably why I couldn't read it LOL. I was aware of this. I saw their post and reported it. No, I didn't click on a link. I didn't even look to see if there was one. I figured a Mod would see it and delete. As I type this they are still showing on my PC as the newest member though. Refresh your page, he should be gone... It didn't really matter to me. Just thought I'd mention it. |

If you see a suspicious thread, or post, especially from a new member, please don't click on any links in that post, and I would suggest that you don't even make a reply. The best way to help the staff with these matters is to report threads and posts of these types to Joe, or myself. We will delete and ban such members and their posts from the forum. I visit the ProBoards Support Forum just about every day, and I see a lot of threads pertaining to problems like this. When I come across a solution to more permanently eliminate this problem, I will see if it can be used here at OSM. I know one way to do it would be to restrict registration so that a prospective member would need to be approved before being allowed to post anything, but I really didn't want to go that route. OSM is over nine years old, and I haven't restricted registration before. Down through the years, there have been somewhere around 45 people banned from OSM, so it's really not a new problem. It just seems to be ramped up a bit in the past few months. Keep a sharp eye on things, folks, and keep reporting unusual stuff to the admins! You guys are helping to keep this a fun place to share in our mutual hobbies! THANKS!
