Some people, have more than one, Bucky. Started this project 8 years ago also. It was to build a replica of Bill Gibbon's ( ZZ Top ) the " Whiskey Runner " Hot Rod. The donor kit, is the 34 Cabriolet. The Custom built Rod had several add ons. One of them being a 1959 Caddy engine, which Bucky so generously donated to the cause. Lots of thanks, even years later Bucky! It also had a custom hood, tail lights, Cyclopse hood light, grille and many others. As you can see, a complicated build, thus always being put on the " BACK Burner ".

That being said, here is an update on work already done. The chopped top is one of Ed's ( Drag City Castings ) resin castings. Also, a set of his more detailed 36 Ford wheels. I then removed the recess openings on the hood curtains, to fabricate the same look as the Whiskey Runner. That's as far as it went. Now to cut dozens of small slats for them.

I can see why it's been on the Back Burner so long, now. A lot of work to do on scratch building and trying to make replicas accurately. Want to wire and plumb the excellent Caddy motor for this build also. The details in the casting are awesome.
