Decided to cut a base today cause I didn't feel like painting figures... played with clay instead to start a cobblestone roadway... will put grasses in the areas on the sides...

Thank you gentlemen! The process was really easy... took an old dental tool, a long skinny nail would also work, bent the tip at a 45° angle and used it to press all those lines in different places to form the different shapes of cobblestones in the clay... now I let it air dry so I can paint it with acrylics...

This is the stuff I used, it has a foam like consistance and stays slightly soft... can paint with acrylics but not enamels... that will melt it... it comes in different colors but I like the back for the deep cracks to stay dark... you can get it on Amazon or at Wally World, Michaels or Hobby Lobby...
