Ya Joe, don't be late for work either, I'll have my daughter give you a hard time, HA! She's considered essential too, the hardware store right next door to Joe's market.
I guess you could say I'm essential too,...........to my Lil woman! Nah, me, I'm retarded,.........oops, I mean retired, so I just get my hinny outta bed an get into that refrigerator of a shop and build Moma's cabinets. Up here in the boonies I don't see much of anybody, but in town it looks like almost normal, strange, thought it would be less. Traffic is much lighter and the gas prices are way down, too. Those prices won't be around come summer time when I want to rack some waves with our Wave Runners.
Yall stay safe out yonder!

Yeah, I might as well be retired, given how few calls I get as a handyman. Then again, nobody wants to spend money on repairs that can wait since they need the money for essentials like food and toilet paper. Out here in SoCal; at least in my neighborhood, traffic is very light. That is both good and bad. Good because I can get to places faster and get home faster; bad because every bad driver out there is driving even more recklessly since there are less "obstacles" (read:cars) to hit. Gas prices are about the same too.

I find that term essential a bit strange. I go to the same place, do the same work, leave at the same time. Hardly anything special about it. In a way we risk exposure everyday regardless of the current situation. We however do not risk our lives doing this. Those are the essential ones.

So my situation has changed a bit since my last reply on this thread. The university has furloughed 15% of the workforce. Most of those are hourly employees that cannot work from home which does not include me thankfully. However, this means that I am now doing the jobs of 3 other people in addition to mine! My wife is working harder in the 6 hours a day she works than the previous 9 hours shifts she was! We are staying healthy though.

Our lockdown is extended to May 8th now.Still not crazy here,54 cases in our county.I believe they will try to ease some restrictions then, although we probably won't dive in head first, plan to continue social distancing and mask usage even as restrictions are eased.

I feel your pain. My wife just lost one of her two full-time jobs. Not sure how we're gonna deal with things now.

Things are tuff for a lot of people, thankfully I'm still full on although our workforce is reduced by four per shift so eight per day. Good luck to all and be safe. The home my mother in-law is in has lost four old folk to the virus, four staff on isolation with the virus, thankfully she is not a socialiser so being on room lockdown hasn't effected her apart from she now taking some notice of the TV news but can't understand it,a blessing in a way. Once again,be safe, stay healthy

Looks like our Gov wants to keep his power hype going till the end of May. Time to hit the lake, I say! Well, ok, when he water level rises, lol.

It's usually this low until mid-May aint it, then it rises, at least from my memory. But, then again, I've been sniffin saw dust so much for the past few weeks my head is spinning. Thank God for dust masks! Guys are still getting out on the lake from time to time, just can't fish, might get sick from the fish?

Phase 1 reopening plan goes into effect Friday. Businesses can open using 50% percent rule. Restaurants, bars still take out only Governor moving slow,so will I.No need to jump in head first.
Hopefully Biltmore grounds will open for strolling or hiking.
