This thing has went on long enough. Finally just broke down and finished it. It does go together well and lends itself to lots of detailing on the interior for those so inclined.

Looks fabulous, John! And you did fine on the interior, so good on you for keeping those hatches open. Those 8-wheelers got bigger over time, didn't they? I know that the photo perspective magnifies the difference, but the -80 is definitely longer.

Anthony, even with the hatches open you can't see a lot. Probably could see a bit more if the front plates over the windshield were open but danged if I didn't somehow manage to lose the glass that goes in there. I swear the dang things just vanished!

Thanks Beeks! Yes, the -80 is longer due to the gap between the 2nd and 3rd set of wheels to allow the troops inside to exit the vehicle faster and easier. Also it has a different engine so the compartment for it is longer.
