You're too kind mates. I'll start waiting this small sbs my way on painting stowage before you think I forgot this. After airbrushing a nice middle shade of brown/green-ish I brushed on the same middle tone with PURE (VERY IMPORTANT)oil paint (I mixed ultramarine blue + burnt umber + yellow ocre + white), NOT THINNED DOWN ! This can be done with a schwung. I then brushed off 95% of the oil paint coat. What remains is a super thin and overnight drying coat of oil paint. I keep the brush clean, dry and free of oil. This is the result so far. Once this has dried overnight I patiently brush on a very thin coat of lighter and darker shades. I barely apply paint. This needs to dry too. The bags were then given a gloss clear coat followed by a pinwash. I also brushed on the highlights and tomorrow I finish them with Dullcote.

Mini-Rembrants you have there. A subtle, but very effective technique.

Thank you Bruce ! It's a slow method but it works for me. I have three more bags drying until tomorrow, then these will be finished and added to the truck. I will finish the sbs in the next update.

It's one of many methods and I prefer this one. It takes some time however. Thank you guys.

Wow, each one has it's own character. I never understood why some guys paint the gear all in place. I personally think each individual item needs to show contrast, not meshing or melding together. Great work Brotha!
Cheers, Ski.

Let's do that Joe, thanks bud. Steve, this is my personal challenging part of the build, to try to replicate textures and materials as far as my 'skills' reach. Bruce, thank you mate. The windscreen cover is nearly done now, a tad of dust here 'n there...

Wow, I would have considered this done a while ago. Yet you are still able to draw even more detail and magnificence out of this model! Man, I am not worthy!

Thanks fellas. I removed the M1 helmet and chinstraps were added. A second helmet was also finished and glued in place.
