Well, I finished up the construction on this little guy with the installation of the tracks:  However, now it will have to sit for a few days as we're in the middle of a small tropical disturbance...not much wind, but lots of rain. Then, once this system zips through, we have some possible severe weather with more rain on Monday through Wednesday. Once it dries out enough, I'll put some primer down and start painting this build. Until next time... |

You might have missed my "Shouting" last month, Mark. We ended up going 46 straight days between measurable rain down here in Pensacola. That's crazy for this area, but thankfully it's over! |

You might have missed my "Shouting" last month, Mark. We ended up going 46 straight days between measurable rain down here in Pensacola. That's crazy for this area, but thankfully it's over! Ah yes, I might have missed that indeed. Some time back when I was visiting, they had their "500 -year storm" that dropped a whopping 18" of rain in one of the seven days it constantly rained. My mother was delivering papers that day and the Sheriff had to turn her away from some areas of her route because the roads were too flooded to get through. As I recall; that storm made Pensacola an Island for a few days.
Hopefully in a few days you'll get some much needed sunshine. I'll work on my end to try and send you some from over here. God knows, we have a huge overabundance of it!

"Back in Black" I managed to get the primer down on the build a little while ago. Everything looks smooth, but there are a couple nooks and crannies than need a little thin black added to cover up the white plastic.  I typically let the primer cure for at least a full day and since tomorrow is my normal "Brewery Run" day, hopefully Tuesday will see some paint being laid down. Until next time... |

Took a little longer than expected, but today I managed to get the color custom mixed and laid down. After it dried for about an hour, I put a light coat of clear flat lacquer to seal the base coat:  That's it for today, tomorrow I'll start the process of detail painting. Until next time... |
