I actually test drove a 1973 Mustang Grande Coupe back in 1981. It had a wicked engine, but there was a problem with the rear axle, so I left it at the car lot!! It was a bright red Mustang.

I've been poking around on this build. Mostly cleaning up flash, and mismatched joints. This issue of this kit has a mixture of parts from different versions, it seems, so I am comparing what I do to an original 1973 kit I have in the stash. Trying to get the engine sorted out at the moment. I'll put up some pics prolly tomorrow.

Sure ya do!!! Okay...here we go........  Several parts, here. This is a re-issue kit, with parts from a few different versions. On the chrome tree, there is this nice wheel, and three headlights:  There's only one of those wheels. Th e engine heads had a bunch of extra plastic:  I removed the molded in distributor, in favor of a Morgan Automotive Details pre-wired version:  More to come, in a bit. |
