The Mandrake’s gear legs and canopy are now on the beast and the glue is drying. Next stop, the gear doors and a couple of small aerials. I’ll waft her with flat Ally in a couple of hours. 😎
Next stop for all 4 is an overall coat of Gunze Acryl clear gloss overall and a full 24-48 hours for it to dry out solid, Decals on all 4 on Saturday morning and I’ll then call em Dun 😁
Meanwhile, I’ll finish the KV-II and get on with the King Tiger, whilst wondering what I’m going to follow it down the line with... 🧐🤔
Regards to All OB of sounds like a plan 😉

I did, strangely enough ! 😴
This morning after a leisurely brekky, I gave the E-8, 21 F-13 and Mandrake a coat of gloss clear, won’t be touching them now til Saturday, giving the gloss clear time to dry properly, before decal solvents etc; go anywhere near it. The 21 PFM got a blast of light grey overall, as the first of its camo colours, it’ll cop the other two camo colours tonight, after which it’ll sit for 24 hours before anything further gets dun on it.
KV-2 (Trumpy 35th started a few weeks ago), copped a burst of construction after dinner last night, it only now needs its tracks and mudguards to be at the “ready for paint” stage.
Meng 35th King Tiger was again ignored, its next to cop some attention.
Not doing much except watching TV over the next few days, its Bathurst this weekend (V8 Supercars on the mountain - boogie !) 🤓😆😎
Regards to All OB of watching V8 Supercar Mayhem 😉

Painting a two story wall along my staircase... yuck!!!
Been there done that! No fun!
OB looks like you got all well in hand. And with one hand even. Great job on all those aircraft; your smooth coats are most impressive. Looking forward to seeing more.

Cheers folks 👍
I decided not to close down the aircraft lines just yet, still got my appetite for post-war jets, particularly Soviet jobs, so my next 4 victims have been identified as a Condor MiG-21 PFM, which will cop some of the spare markings from the just about finished KP kit, an AModel Sukhoi T-49, (a rather odd looking way of getting a decent radar onto the nose of an Su-9 😖), a Modelsvit Sukhoi Su-7 and the next installment in the AModel Yak-25 Mandrake series, The 25S, missile equipped, radar nosed, all weather fighter.
All of the above have been placed into “build boxes” and will be started on Monday next week. I’ll play with the 35th KV2 (needs tracks, mudguards and various small parts to be paint ready) and the Meng 35th King Tiger (Henschel) in the meantime 🤔😎🤓
Regards to All OB of I THINK I know where I’m going with this ... 😉

.. and for certain wingy kits, who have been languishing in storage boxes for so long, they’ve got dust on their dust (how’s that for talking double dust ?) 😖

I resemble that story on dust on top of dust... The staircase I have been painting leads to the Eagle's Nest which will also get new paint to match and a new floor... tile... then a new workbench is scheduled to be built after the floor... I will try to squeeze in some build time as I have the Dino, the Mustang and my Aerosan Diorama to finish up! We also have our annual Spokane Hobby Shop run coming up on the 26th so I can rebuild my stash and supplies!!! Oh boy!!!

Sounds like fun 😎
I’ve only bought paint n glue lately, and not much of either, just topping up existing stocks, I’m right for kits as it happens 🙄🤭
Might get the decals on the kits on the line tonight after the live stuff from Bathurst finishes, will depend on how I’m feeling, depends... 🤔
Regards to All OB of dunno 😉

Executive decision taken...
The next aircraft to be built won’t be Russki... Dug out a pile of USAF types to play wiv... 😎
So (in no particular order), my next aireyplanes will be B-57 (a black one to replace the one I did on the Worx), plus no less than 3 different “big wing” varieties of B-57, a B-58, and a B-66, after which, there’ll be a few RAF trainers, Chipmunk x2, Folland Gnat, Jet Provost T-3 and T-4, plus a pair of two seat EE “Frightnings” 😲
After which, I’ll return to the Soviet stuff, (or I may go in a different direction altogether - I do have plenty of post-war aircraft unbuilt !) 🙄🤔😖
Regards to All OB of decisions, derisions 😉

Edit: MiGs decalled, final touches on all 3 tomorrow, hopefully will get the last few lil’ bits onto the Mandrake as well, allowing me to get its decals dun tomorrow night - here’s hoping 😎

Ummm... Started a Tamiya Wespe instead... 🤭
I’m blaming it on executive indecision... not enough bolts to fasten the last decision down... 🧐
Plus the well known fact that our executives are totally nutz 🤯😖

News Today (and here isn’t a photo of me reading it !) 🧐
Was going to take photos of 3 completed MiGs and the Mandrake today, til I discovered paint touchups/bare plastic not painted after I detached the parts painted on the sprue from the sprue before being added to the model - aaaarrrggghhh ! and other sounds of frustration 🤬... Never mind, the weather forecast for tomorrow is for a nice, sunny day, its a bit cloudy with rain expected today.
Also rounding up the UFO’s (UnFinished Objects), it being that time of year, there’s not so many of them this year as there were last year, so there’s a real chance everything started this year will be finished this year... we shall see. 🤔
Regards to All OB of rounding up UFO’s 😉
