A bottle that never empties and a glass that never fills - Where did ya get such useful items sir ? 🤔
I’ll have one too (or even three) please 😁 Its nearly 7am out here, so there’s a couple of hours til the sun gets onto my photo taking location
Got the “Big MiG” plus the last Me-262 and a couple more 72nd tanks for ya. Forgot the last 3 72nd tanks aren’t weathered and the transfers on two of em fell apart the minute they hit the water (First to Fight kits, manufactured by IBG), I’ll have a comb thru my decal stash after brekkie and see if I can find anything appropriate. 😡
Got a tad more dun on the Meng KT last night too, decided its time I did another 35th post war jobby, so excavated a Trumpy T-10 from the stash, will get going on that as soon as the KT gets close to being dun, After which I might just build a few Panzers and Halbketten (“arftracks) in 35th, got more than a few of both in the stash.
Regards to All OB of at least I’m awake 😉

Status Report 4:03pm Saturday 5 October 2019
Standing vertically whilst glue and filler dry on their join lines, we have (Left) AModel Yak 25 “Mandrake” in its radar equipped All Weather Fighter guise (NATO “Flashlight M” and (Right) Art Model MiG YE-8, an attempt to get a MiG 21 with better radar and a bigger engine, to extend its service life. Didn’t work and an experienced test pilot was severely injured when he had to bail out of it whilst it was a long way up and going like the clappers. Project was shut down and never revived, the YE-8 designator went on to the next MiG attempt to get a more powerful MiG-21.
On the bench, we also have the following pair of MiG-21’s, its early days for this pair yet as can be seen. At left is Revell’s MiG-21 F-13, an early “small spine” example, whilst at Right is KP’s MiG-21 PFM “European Users” boxing, the PFM was the most produced of the MiG-21 species and was of the “thick spine” variety (spine was widened from the PF variant, to accomodate more electronics and fuel)
Just off the desk, but by no means forgotten or abandoned is Meng’s 35th King Tiger, which I’m working on at night, its coming along slowly but steadily.
That’s wots happening at Obscureco Ltd for this week !
Regards to All OB 😉

A couple of days actually, I ain’t that quick anymore ! And I got a broken wrist ! 😲
Progress to date as follows...
The E8 has copped a basecoat of Tamiya Flat Aluminium
The 21’s have had their wings, tailplanes and a few other bits added, joints filled etc; still more bits to go on yet, hoping to have them in the paint shop by the end of the afternoon (says he hopefully !)
The Mandrake has had its radar nosecone, wings and tailplanes added and joints filled. Next additions will be its engine nacelles, once they’re assembled
No further progress on the King Tiger I’m afeared, hopefully get the rest of the chassis and roadheels done tonight ! 🤔
Regards to All OB of it ain’t all been plane sailing ! 😉

Cheers Boss 👍
Managed to get the Mandrake’s engines assembled and onto it and the gear legs and doors on the MiG-21’s - photos later, when the glue dries and the clamps (in all directions) 🤯🤬, come off the Mandrake (oh the joys of assembling short-run kits ! 🤭😡🧐

Thanks Folks ! 👍
Managed to get the Revell 21 to the paint stage yesterday and a tad more done on the KP 21 before my wrist started letting me know I’d better stop before it got too painful. Hoping to get the KP to the paint stage this morning and get both the 21’s painted this afternoon, Mandrake’s coming along as well, got its nose gear leg assembled yesterday (8 teeny, flash infested parts ! 🤯) before impending pain stopped play. Its not far away from the paint shop either - hopefully by Friday 🤔

Stop yakking and start med...🤔 err, muderrr.. 😖 Modelling boss ! 😆 (Knew I’d git it right sooner or later ! 🙄)
Meanwhile back at the bench, the Revell 21 stood still long enough to get some Tamiya Flat Ally wafted over it ! 😎
For my next trick, the rather ‘orrible KP example of MiG 21 PFM (read RV kit with resin replaced by horribly flashed, mis-shapen, styrene blobs) will (hopefully 🙏) get to the Flat Ally wafted over it stage by close of play this evening, it won’t be a doddle (judging by the way the little sod has gone thus far ! 🤬😡🤐💩) but I think I have enough hours in hand if I can maintain my constip... 🤭 Ummmm... concentration long enough !
All the Best OB of rather peeved at a certain KP kit - (but determined to persevere with it, in spite of the almost uncontrollable urge to send it on a one way hurl into the nearest wall !) 😉

It’d be a dang sight easier than the hassles I’ve had with this ‘orrible KP kit ... 🤬💩💩💩
Was thinking of getting a KP “Joy pack” of 3 of the MiG 21’s, complete kits, no decals, to use up the spare decals from the 3 KP MiG-21’s I have. Not happening now 🤯😡☠️☠️☠️...
Have a Zvezda MiG 21 enroute and will investigate the about to be released Italeri item, (supposedly the ex-Fujimi PFM kit), cos if it is the Fujimi, I’ll grab a pile of them - I have a pair of Fujimi 21’s assembled and they were great kits to build !
Anyhoo, the KP kit’s undercart went on no problems (about time I got a hassle and flash free stage of assembly on that lil so-and-so... 😡) so it’ll have some Flat Ally wafted over it later this arvo, leaving only the Mandrake to have its gear fitted and Ally wafting tomorrow... THEN I’ll git back onto the King Tiger and in all likelihood, start another couple of 35th tanks as the KT gets close to dun... Its about time I did some 35th Panzers again, instead of dropping one in amongst a pile of Russki or other Allied vehicles ! 😎😆
‘scuse moi, its lunch time 🌭🍔🍔🍔🥪🍗(buuuuuurrrrrp !) and of course a ☕️ (only my third for the day, I’m being good lately !)
Regards to All OB 😉

PFM’s All Dun, wafted with Tammy Flat Ally - as a primer would you believe ? (Ooops ! I’m used to painting MiG 21’s in Silver, so the boo-boo is understandable ! 🤯🤔) ...
and a group shot with the other 2 (L to R) - E-8, F-13, PFM
“Three little MiGs who all unwary, stole from the Soviet seminary, dressed in Silver ordinary 3 little Migs from Skule... “ (or sumpin’ like dat) 😆
Regards to All OB of misquoting G&S 😉
