OMG!!!! Are pigs flying? Snowing in Hades? Democrats and Republicans working together for common good??? Ogre has a car on the bench!!!! With the Graf Spee on hold I thought I might further aggravate myself some more by trying my hand on a car build. It's been many years since I've done a car. This is the victim, a Revell 1969 Dodge Dart. Being an old time MOPAR guy what do you expect?

Great choice! I've heard these are good kits. I'll be watching! (I have a couple of these in the stash.)

I actually owned a '69 Dart GT back in 1983. I have two of the REVELL kits, but I haven't built one yet, either.

Welcome aboard one and all! Got a few pieces stuck together and will post up some pics tomorrow.
I must say I'm a bit used to nice Trumpy, Takom and Tamiya armor kits. These car models are waaaaaaaayyyyyy different and I have a new found respect for you car modelers!

Engine is done. It went together pretty good. A really super thick nonconforming decal was supposed to go on the air cleaner but didn't play nice so I didn't either. Ripped the confounded thing off and repainted the air cleaner. Got some chassis and interior work done and am close to painting it.

Here's a little tip about the underneath on a MOPAR. It has primer, and then it has overspray from the body color: I borrowed this pic from the web. This is similar to how the factory did them.
