Hey, one of those isn't a Spruance! There's an "Ayatollah" or "Dead Admiral" class ship in that bunch, too. Nice fleet, though. Back when we got real fleets of Navy ships here in Portland for Rose Festival (1970s-80s; usually 18 to 24 ships) there were always at least three Spruance class DDs. Nowadays we're lucky to have three ships at the seawall total.

Good eye Beekster! Yes, there's a Kidd class ship in there. I included it because it was on a Spruance hull with most of a Spruance superstructure. I had actually planned on getting three more of those Kidd-class kits to make the whole class since the kit comes with the decals for all four. I may still do that.
Thanks to everyone else for the compliments.

Very nice build, if mine turn out that good I'll be a happy modeller Need to leave it now as it needs to dry nice and hard for a while. Got some bits on sticks too

Robbo, well done so far. It is looking at least as good as mine, if not better already. Yeah, those ship kits do have issues with the fit of the lower hulls.

I sanded that filler down this evening, flipping filler was solid, I got the rotary tool on and finished it off with a sanding stick. I gave it a coat of primer which will be rubbed down with fine grade before another coat of primer
Not worthy of a photo shoot but a job well done
