Who are you??? What did you do to Scott??? Scott is trying to thaw from the deep dark winter! got sick again (sinus issues and pink eye). Yesterday I spent several hours outside cleaning the yard. It was 39 but 39 feels oh so wonderful in March!

I have also been doing more study. Spend about 45 min a night reading World at Arms and am going to start personal research of the period from about 1890-1945

You’re too kind Duke. I have gotten the interior nearly done and some of the drivetrain. I will get pictures sometime. We got 3” of snow on Sunday!! other than that I’ve just been “old” lately:( due to financial issues, haven’t had my thyroid meds OR testosterone in 2 months...leaves me with absolutely no energy! On a positive note though, the withdraw from Ropirinole ended about 6 weeks ago and after that, I’ve been able to decrease sleeping meds and anti-inflammatories! I NEED sunlight and some warm weather!!!

I do have a question for anyone following: do u recommend a primer for the body? I am going to be spraying it (from a rTestor’s can).

I use primer on all my builds. I try to go for an automotive primer, such as DupliColor. It goes on evenly, and not too thick, and is easy to sand down to get a smooth coat to lay the color layer on. Some of the color coats that are out there today can actually attack the kit plastic, leaving an undesirable finish.

I just started priming recently and it definitely makes it look better with more depth to the colors and better adhesion...

I like the sandable duplicolor primer also, white for light colors and grey for dark... I find it for sale at the automotive store for a good price...

After you get comfortable with using primers, you can experiment with different colors of primer. They can make a top color come out with a different shade, depending on the color primer underneath. These two were painted with the same can of orange paint. You can see a slight difference in shade: The one on the left has gray primer, the one on the right has red primer. It shows up more in person than in the pic, but I can still see it in the pic.
