This '62 Chevy Impala is not mine, it belongs to my friend. He brings me a piece every now and then that he wants repaired. This Impala he brought to me to trim out. I noticed a few other things that I just couldn't let slide by, and the games began. The first thing that I noticed was that the skirts were sucked into the wheel well right up against the tires, I proceeded to take out the screws,(yes it's an original annual), and the chassis didn't drop out, like they normally do when the screws are removed. The reason was that there was so much glue inside around the wheel well lip, over time it just sucked the skirt in. Not having another pair of skirts I ventured to repair them. This was a quick mock up to show him the progress. The car had a continental kit on its rear, that he likes but the cover was just a plain jane, I found this and he likes it better. I also found a proper Back ring and a rim. Almost ready for paint, (again in mock up for him to see) While waiting on things to cure to progress, I did the interior. The first couple of coats are on and at present being wet sanded. And that brings you up to speed on this special project. Stay tuned for more adventures of "Mr Wilson's Impala" Jerry
