Thanks Joe, I personally prefer streaky bacon and generally buy dry cured bacon, more expensive but is without all the other water and stuff that superstores tend to put in it causing an awful white substance to come out in cooking, not nice at all!! I think it is probably the flavour our daughter misses but my son in-law and an Irish friend have ordered $75 worth of English bacon through Amazon!! I am more than happy with American bacon, breakfasts especially with pancakes and syrup which as it goes I'm doing tomorrow 😋

What have I started, dare I ask if you have bacon lardons as I love these in Mac and cheese? They are chunks, cubes of bacon,English,American or Canadian will do I'm sure as long as they are chunky and preferably smoked 😋😋😋😋

I'm not sure whether or not I should feel offended. I think it's pretty much Jed and me from this side of the pond suggesting I need to be kept in check? Never had a personal moderator, happy days. Don't worry Jed, I won't give you any trouble...

Don't worry Jed, I won't give you any trouble... There was a rumor going around that you were actually a double agent named "Menace."

Joe, most of those guys you mentioned are now very active in the Modeler's Haven. Carl was also posting there quite frequently too.
I have a recipe for Pigs in a Blanket using bacon (American) to wrap hot dogs stuffed with cheese and baked. I'm gonna see abut getting that going for dinner someday soon. I also add bacon bits to my steamed string beans, along with minced onions.
