Back in the sixties, a lot of the AMT kits were that basic. Fairly good representations on body lines...some of the interiors were sparse, and a few of them had the wrong seat patterns, due to AMT using hold over interior molds. Some of the hardtop kits that have been re-issued have a back seat with the convertible wells where the top would fold down. Some builders will take the time to remedy such items, and some will build 'em like they came out of the box. I take it on a kit-by-kit basis, depending on what I'm after for an end result. I built this same AMT '65 GTO about a hundred years ago, and I built it basically right out of the box. I have another one to build as a replica of one Mrs. Bucky had back in '65. That was before we met, or she would still have it, believe me!!! That build may get some modifications to look more closely like the one she had.

Mine came with two tops, a custom and the convertible up top which can go for a hardtop with some sanding of the windshield edge to meet flush...
