Don’t go driving with anyone in my family anytime soon. Last week, my daughter’s friend backed into her car and broke the front fender. The next day, my sister-in-law totaled her Ford Expedition. Tonight, I was driving to the local diner to pick up food and a tree fell in the road in front of me (We had 40mph sustained winds with 60mph gusts). I swerved but it was all the way across the road. 3” branches went right through the radiator and cooling fan, into the front headlight assembly and the trunk got lodged under the car and punctured the rear bumper on the way out...

Dang, Scott.
I'd be locking the doors, putting all the vehicle keys in a hidden location, and hunkering down for the rest of the year! But then, I'm retired and can actually do that...sorry.
In the mean time, be safe and I hope the bill isn't too bad.

Thanks all! Def great we are ok. I was only one in car and it is a 2000 regal so it will be totaled out but we’ll still keep it. They put us in a 2018 Fusion Hybrid. I must say, a car should make a vroom vroom! Can’t get used to that no vroom vroom!  |

We were laughing at it last night. It has this display called “efficiency leaves” the more efficiently you drive the more and bigger the leaves get. If you drive “poorly”, the leaves go away. It also gives you a brake score when you stop. My high score is 85% but am trying to hit the high score today!!

Car WAS totalled out at $2500. Minus the deductible and buy back, we’re getting a little over $2,000. We can fix the car (and other issues too) for about $500. $900 goes to buy my wife’s growth hormone for Thyroid and we’ll catch up on some utilities with any left over!
