On July 19, 2018, I started an outdoor project.
Follow along as I narrate:



Behind this gate is a 3 acre tract. Looking in, the driveway is barely visible, and can only be walked. No way to drive a vehicle on it.


This is a closer look at the driveway.


Just to the right of the gate, you can see how thick the growth is. 


I set this pin at 100 feet from the gate.


Standing at his pin, I took this pic across the driveway. So thick, I can't even see into the stuff!


I set another pin at 200 feet.....


Just as thick.


At 300 feet from the gate....


Looks like a jungle in there!

Oh my... overgrowth galore!!!

Very much so, Joe. It hadn't been touched in nearly ten years.


This is the tallest tree on the lot.



This is the next tallest tree. I couldn't even tell if this land was level because of how thick the undergrowth was.


Enter the MULCHING MACHINE!!!!


After just a little while, he had a nice spot cleared.


This thing eats up everything!


Down to bare ground.


Looking down the driveway. The fence line is on the left.


He he is, kicking up a dust.

A mere $160,000.00 for one of these machines...give or take a couple of pennies!

Beginning to see the neighbor's house.



A nice mulberry tree was is in this jungle. Complete with grape vines!

Taking down a pine tree. Took less than 3 minutes!!!

That is incredible, never seen that kind of progress so quickly, impressive! Nice to have some reclaimed land.

He spent a total of thirty hours to get all the undergrowth down. He could have worked a few more hours to turn everything almost into powder, but this is far enuff for now.


This is the spot where the house will go. I'm standing in the driveway, looking in towards the middle.

This place has some unique trees. The following pics show some of what's on this tract.

I just wonder what caused this tree to grow in this manner!


Here are a couple of odd growth patterns!

So far, this is what has been accomplished on this three acre tract. I couldn't have done this by hand with a chain saw! I don't even think dynamite wudda helped!! LOL
More work of differing types will be needed before this place becomes livable, but this is a start!!

I like Mulberry's. I don't think there's any around here anymore. I used to know where there was at least 4 of them.

This is the first one I've seen in a while. I'm glad it didn't fall to the MULCHING MACHINE!

We had large ones when I lived in Lancaster California as a kid, think Mike had them in his yard also with some elms...

Cool; toys with treads!
Every couple years I rent one for "yard work" As long as I move some dirt where momma wants a new garden she's happy, doesn't seem to mind three buckets full takes all weekend
And, the ones with treads, if ya get'em up on a mound and rise and lower the bucket you can rock'em like a see saw......just sayn, so I've heard
