Tomorrow I head for the VA in Iowa City for my second round of chemo. I don't know how this one will affect me so I may be off line for a couple of days to recuperate,will just have to wait and see.

Thank you all!! I'm feeling pretty good so far except for the fact I'm tired which I think is more from the fact that I only got 4 1/2 hrs of sleep Monday night. Wednesday will give me a better idea on how I'll feel. I go in every two weeks for chemo and in 4 weeks it will be a long day, they are planning on removing the PICC line they use and replacing it with a port in my chest to use for treatments. It will be more convenient but they will do it early in the morning, let me rest for a couple of hours then do my treatment. 7 hours at the VA and 4 hours travel time will make for one tired puppy.

Well,it's the day after chemo and I'm feeling real good,good enough to go shopping today and get out of the house to do something other than go to the doctor.  |

The shopping trip kind of wore me down a bit but I just sat back at the bench and got a little painting done and some more research on the M4A2 at Tarawa.

Got my busy day at the VA done and I'm feeling really good. Got my lab work done,then up to radiology for my CT scan, then to ambulatory surgery to get the PICC line removed and a port put in,then consultation with my physicians assistant then up to chemo. All in all I spent 10 hours there plus the 4 hour round trip. I'm a bit on the tired side but feeling great.
