What did you weight it down with so it doesn't blow away?

I took the following pics while on vacation at Panama City Beach, Florida: My granddaughter, Emily, and great-grandson, Jaycelee. This was his first trip to PCB. He was a right trooper on the nine hour drive down there! Here, he seems to be resting up from all that driving!! I have a few shots from the seventh floor balcony: The water was very calm the first couple days. The following is a storm drain that runs to the ocean: Two days later, this happened: A storm front moved in. Surf was very strong! Red flag conditions. Nobody on the beach. Cold, too! Remember the storm drain? It changed direction! Evening cloud cover made for a cool pic: As you can see, not many people on the beach. Too cold for most! Nuff said: Saw this Saturday: Nice sized barges: Lotsa low clouds and rough seas Sunday: Another nice sunset: And....NO...this is NOT me!!!

I wish I cudda got a pic of the three C-130's I saw. They were about 1/4 mile offshore, and maybe 300 feet up!

Military jets and planes and helicopters fly over PCB a lot.

That's what my daughter said when they lived there during Chris' flight classes with the Coast Guard...

Thanks for the awesome memories and the terminal homesickness. Just to the west is Fort Walton Beach where I used to live. I would see that every day. Beautiful great grandson too. What incredible eyes! Military jets and planes and helicopters fly over PCB a lot. That's because Tyndall Air Force Base is right there and aircraft tend to fly back and forth from there to Eglin and back again. The last time I was in Florida with my friend Maurice; we were out in Destin Fl. checking out the boats and all when a Russian-made Mi-8 Hip flew on by. We were stunned! We looked it up and it turns out there's an Air Tours place that uses the Hip to fly people offshore along the coastline on an air tour of the area.
