I built a '68 Runner in white, too. I have another kit to do, so I think I'll do an impact color on it.

I see on Mikes and some others I have looked at that you added the B body pillar and then some people have not, how do you know if it should be there or not???

Thank you all very much, glad you like it!!!
Joe, your Road Runner will be beautiful!!! I love that copper color! Your work inspires me too!!!
Bucky, I like the high impact red color on Road Runners. I think it was called Tor Red, or Rally Red.

I see on Mikes and some others I have looked at that you added the B body pillar and then some people have not, how do you know if it should be there or not??? Joe, Plymouth made the Road Runner with the pillars first. Then later in 1968 they made them hard tops without the pillars. It is your choice!!!

Thanks Mike, it is confusing when you look for pics and find both and the kit includes them but they aren't attached... I think I prefer them without. lol!!!

You can do like I did. Try to pick up the model, pop out the side window with your finger, turning it into a hard top! No pillars now! Oops!!!

The B pillar is as follows on a coupe, or sedan: Pics borrowed from the World Wide Web. Without the B pillar is considered a hardtop: According to one site, the figures for these cars are as follows: 28,978 Coupes (sedans) 15,325 Hardtops Here's the link: beep2beep.tripod.com/Roadrunner_Production-Figures.html

The side windows are separate in my kit, thinking about leaving them out/ open...

This is how mine looks now, did not feel like taking it apart to replace the side windows.

You could always cut the windows at the pillar and just install from the rear pillar to the back with your finger through the open door section!!!
