Now that is something you don't see done everyday. It is really interesting to see these not so popular variants of our favorite AFVs replicated in scale. The weathering is spot on. No, you don't see it every day, Dwight. That's why I like it. I've always like the soft, organic shape of the cast-hull M3A1 anyway and the only ones which saw combat service were the CDL conversions. The rest stayed stateside as training tanks. The Formations hull is a really nice casting, and mated perfectly to the Academy lower hull just as it was designed to. I'm sure that with a little fettling it would work with the new Takom kits as well. I'm about ready to call this one done after another application of a still-lighter tan wash and painting the ceramic insulator on the radio antenna mount. I need to run to Tammie's tomorrow for some fresh Microscale Krystal Kleer to do the headlight lenses, stick the antenna in the mount, and shoot some final pictures. I should see the Bronco tracks for the Sherman ARV next week, and that one needs one more coat of primer before base color goes on. Also headed back to the paint shop are the Madill yarder and the Chilean Big Mack transporter. The next project on the bench will continue my turretless theme: A Formations Ram Badger flamethrower conversion on yet another Asuka M4A1 lower hull.
