Chaps. We have wheels. Reason for the delay was the hub caps. They are supplied in chrome and Tamiya would have you paint them then apply the Mercedes decal over the top. I wasn't convinced this was the best way to go so instead I applied a few coats of the body colour to the whole part then removed what I didn't want with one of Tamiyas really useful pointed cotton buds soaked in cellulose thinners. It took me three or four attempts but I succeeded, quickly sealing them with X-22 to avoid damage. What do you think, success? I'm happy with them.    Cheers. |

Thank you kind chaps. Out of build sequence but up next is the dashboard. The starting point is nicely moulded and well detailed but a long way from looking similar to the real deal.  Its taken a while but I have completed it and it's come out like...  While I am critical of my own efforts I must remember this is much larger than it will be viewed once fitted and should look just fine. |
