Bucky, not sure exactly what ya got going there, but i like it!! Buckster, my Hood fit was very tight so i had to do some trimming and sanding to get a decent fit. My tub is a bit warped as well. Got some Primer on the Body which exposed some areas that need more attention. Gonna go ahead and finish the prep of the body and shoot some paint on it soon so it can be drying while i work on the interior. Hood still needs a bit of adjustment then ill prime it as well. McB

Always good to watch a fellow modeler stretch their building to learn new techniques and try ideas!!! That's how we grow and learn!!!

Awesome stuff, Boys. I love all this hackin' and slashin'. It just seemed like the thing to do with this '49 Merc! The styrene is pretty sturdy, so it takes a razor saw without shattering!

The Three Bs!" Feeling a little better. The Honey and Ginger seem to be working on this Cold. Spent the day cleaning up parts, drilling the block for plug wires, installing the French Bucket tail light cans, sanding and trying to come up with a plan.

Cool, OZ! I'm sorta playing it by ear. I didn't start out to cut up the hood and trunk lid. But...I had this razor saw.......

Good to hear you're feeling better, Bruce. Sounds like a productive day. Keith, You got a plan? What's up with that?

Still doing some cleanup work from all the hacking!! Got the rear axle stuck together, as well as the flathead engine halves. I glued the front and rear custom pans on the body. A little filling and sanding before I put up a pic of it.

I laid out the places to be drilled for the taillights: These are the custom Caddy taillights that came in the kit. I will install these from the inside of the body. I still have some fine tuning to do on these lights.
