Those Offenhauser heads look awesome Gary! They sure do! Those are in the AMT kit. Mine look like they are molded well, too.

Thanks, Mark! This is a departure from the usual for me. I normally don't go all out custom.

Buckster, while there is several problems with the kit, as you well know, but those Heads are nice. I chromed, Seal w/Gloss, then mix a Black Oil wash to highlight the details. when dry i sprayed some Dullcote on them. BTW, i forgot to show you guys the Dullcote i sprayed on the Body. Thanks for the awesome comments guys. McB

I think that black looks fantastic, Gary! Just the right amount of sheen! I'd be happy to have a paint job turn out that good!!

I'm not sure which direction I'll go for color. I'll let the body work tell me when I get closer to finishing all the filling and sanding! LOL

Ive completed the body. Still need to finish wires, paint driveshaft and pretty much final assembly. problem is, the chassis is so wide, it wont go in without me prying the sides of the body open, which may result in the rear wheel well covers to pop off. Not sure how im gonna meet the two pieces together without really screwing something up! Plus, the frame is still warped bad enough the drivers side front tire wont touch the surface. DA**IT! Anyways... Any suggestions guys? McB

Warm the frame lightly with a hair dryer and carefully bend back to shape... as for the body, slide the chassis into the back of the body at an angle then slowly spread the doors a bit sliding it slowly down until it sits where it should, lots of praying while you do this...

You could also file down the sides of the frame just enuff to slide up in the body without so much flex that the skirts pop off. But, if they do, hopefully it won't harm the paint, and you can just lick 'em and stick 'em back on!! LOL

You'll get it figured, Big Guy. I've used both Joe's and Bucky's methods with good results. Just go slow and easy.
