Good progress, Bruce. When you cast that part, would you please show us how you do it?

Sure. Good idea. Going to a " Celebration of Life " today for the former owner of Cliff's Cycles in Bremerton, WA.

Good progress, Bruce. When you cast that part, would you please show us how you do it? As requested by Jeff, needed to cast a missing part for the Turret. Also have been putty off casting a few other parts ( Cadillac valve covers, wheels for Dirt Track cars and other bits n bobs.) which I need for other builds. That being said, pulled out my Soap Mold and Micro-Mark Rapid 1 to 1 rubber Molding kit and went to work. Mixed the Blue and White ( 250 ML ea.), after preparing the base with double-sided Scotch Tape and some Release Agent spray ( to hold the parts down ) That will just about use up all my Molding Media. Should be ready by 2:30 this afternoon.

My Rapid must be too old. I didn't get a good mix and it's full of air bubbles, as you can see. Will have to get some more and invest in a pressure Pot, if I want to get serious about casting. Hopefully, this will give me the few parts I need for the Tank.

Fightnjoe has been having the same issue with bubbles, wonder if it's the humidity this time of year causing the issues...

I've never done it and was asking Joe how it worked as I am thinking I need to do this but you are both scaring me away from that idea, ha, ha!!! Is the cost really worth it???

Don't judge it by me. This is only my second larger mold. There are many great Tutes on YouTube. Mixed resin and poured molds, so should have some results later. Suffice to say, that I have made a sizable investment to do this and will never get my yield of parts to justify the cost.

Well, $100 for the resin kit and molds, etc. and another $40 for another Abrams kit...... Whala, missing part is back.

Well here it is, such that it is. The closed Periscope shroud installed. Just have to make a few corrections on the air bubble and ready to move forward. Had not planned on this much trouble, for such an easy kit. Also had to set up everything, again on my old PC for pictures and such.
