I own one..... Wish I did! I make do with a C230 Kompressor I've owned since new in 2000, and an SLK280 I bought three years ago. Neither will do much of a burnout. That said, both of them are set up for autocross. Let things get twisty and I'll keep your muscle cars at bay with relative ease.

I tried to buy a 2006 C500 AMG last year, but the guy didn't have his heart set on selling it. (He wanted too much for it!)

I am sold on Mercedes-Benz and will in all likelihood never buy anything else. Our first was a 1990 190E 2.6 automatic, bought used in 1996. A year later I bought a 190E 2.3-16 with a stick, and campaigned that car successfully in regional autocross competition for three years. Sadly, it had to give its life for mine in the fall of 2000 but I walked away so it did its job. In the spring of 2000 we sold the 2.6 and bought a new C230 Kompressor Special Edition sedan, the last production batch for the W202 chassis which is still our daily driver seventeen years later. We also bought a 190D 2.2 stick that summer for cheap from friends who were moving to Holland for a couple of years, and I commuted with that car for four years. Simple, slow, and wonderfully fuel-effiicient. And in 2014, I rewarded myself for several years of looking after an elderly relative and then shepherding his estate through probate by purchasing a 2006 SLK280 roadster with a 6-speed stick. We are hoping that the stars (pun intended) align by the summer of 2020 so that we can pass the C230 on to our eldest nephew and order a C350e plug-in hybrid as our daily driver for the next two decades.
