Looks good so far! I have one of these cars from the 60's. All that is left is the body. So I bought a couple of the newer kits. Now I will build one stock, and one a hot rod! The new kits also came with the open top version. I will build one stock, and one a hot rod! I will start these cars one of these years!

The stock ones will be black. I am not sure what colors to paint the hot rods.

Thank you Bruce, they came with the Meyers Manx kit....  I think you made a small oops there JCon. I have a couple of original Manx kits that I bought when the kit was released. And I have some new ones, Elvis and original box art. I have one of the shortened Bug body on Manx chassis from the 60s, I have a few of the TeeVee buggy kits. All are basically the same kit except for the body shell, instruction sheet and box art. NONE of them come with those Astro Chrome wheels (1960s stamped steel chrome wheels). The tires are DEFINITELY Monogram, like from the 1930 Woody kit and other hot rod kits of the later 70s and early 80s. I think the wheels came with the tires. Cool wheels and tires for the T anyway. |

Came across this bad boy sitting in his box under the bench and figured it needed some love and paint to finish it... sprayed the green today while I wait on other builds to dry...   |
