Sheesh, is that Saturn V 1/144 scale? Beautiful on both counts, mark. Congrats.

Sheesh, is that Saturn V 1/144 scale? Beautiful on both counts, mark. Congrats. Thanks for the congrats and the compliments Dan. No, the Saturn V is not 1/144 scale; it's in 1/72 scale. It stands five feet, two inches tall...without the low black base it is standing on. If you look closely, I believe there is a 1/72 scale astronaut standing at the base which might be visible in the pic.

Great!! I cudda give some stiff competition, as well!! Explain the rules of this class. Okay, but I don't want anyone taking offense to this. We didn't EVER mock or make fun of ANYONES building skills...keep in mind; this was done strictly for fun as it started out as a "joke class" as we were actually making fun of ourselves when we first started. Basically, it needed to look as if a 1st time (pre-teen?) builder had done it. You couldn't just "slap" something together with glue and/or paint on all your fingers. You needed to put "some" effort in it, yet maybe "rushing"? through it. Anyway, even the kids and teens were laughing hard at our builds....even if that was the stage they were at at the time. If I remember correctly, the Sharpie SS markings and my paint stained "felt sheet" carpet put me over for the win....plus the mix-match parts to complete it. EX:'64 Chevy truck grille and '66 Nova tail lights on a '65 Chevelle Wagon with the engine out of a Ford Ranger.

Pretty cool concept! Maybe we need to do Group Build like this here! LOL Sort of a "Parts Box Slap Together GB".
