This is so cool. I also used to collect Hot Wheels. I still have a couple around but not mint in package. Some are still sealed but packages are messed up a bit. I remember a time in the 1990's when I was working at a Hobby Shop. A number of the clientele who came in brought in their custom Hot Wheels that they had built and painted and then packaged in their own packaging. Mighty impressive work on those; I wish I had gotten pics!
Now I just stick to plastic models. Even with the affordability of Hot Wheels, I prefer something I can build easily and so plastic models gets my meager; almost non-existent spending money.
Good luck on the job hunt Snake, I hope you get something real soon. I want to see more Hot Wheels cars from you.

I have a small collection too, some out of the package and some mint in the package. All of them have been purchased by me as an adult and so not played with and dinged up. I've got some Porsches, Ferraris, and as you might expect, the bulk of my collection is Mercedes-Benz. One that has been elusive for me has been the 1980s station wagon. I believe I have all of the DTM-inspired C-class and CLK variants, three of the mislabeled gold 190E 2.6 which is actually a 2.3-16 (the body kit gives it away), and I've grabbed a couple of the new 190E 2.5-16 Evolution 2. Always wanted the real one; will never have the stupid levels of money necessary to get one.
