Lovely pics. Is that a lightning bug in your hand? Those are so cool at night! To be honest Duke I'm not really sure, there was a couple flying about and I managed to catch this one in my hand, whilst flying they have something hanging below them like an under slung load!!

This is what we call a lightning bug (firefly): I don't think the one on Jed's hand is a firefly.

I didn't think so either as we played with them when we visited an old family friend in Illinois a number of years ago...

I've been informed that glow worms are most predominantly found in Southern England and can be found on The South Downs,(down the road 20 mins) looking on Google the one I have looks very much like the male glow worm, the female can't fly so is found at ground level showing its glowing abdomen to attract the flying male, I hope the information is correct 😬

That is some really cool architecture!!! Joe the Pavillion is a superb building to walk around, the garden lay out is as it was back in the day and is going through a period of work to make it look more like the design from the original plans, plants, shrubs etc

A lot of the same flowers in my yard! Did you know your nasturtiums are edible??? The flowers are good in salads or make a nice vinaigrette ... rose petals also are great and each color has a distinct flavor...

I didn't know about the vinaigrette Joe,I haven't tried them in salads either to be honest,I knew they could be used,we only have this one as it found its way in with one of my mother in-laws plants,I always remember nasturtiums being covered in caterpillars!!
