Re securing bikes to bases, the guys I know drill a hole in the tyre, corresponding hole in the base, Cyano a length of threaded rod into the tyre and then attach to base with a nut. Obviously you need t countersink a hole in the underside of the base for the nut.

Thx AG, more to follow real soon. Any thoughts on securing these wheels to the base Bro??
Another incredible shot my friend, weathering is absolutely fantastic. I think I'd glue it with Microscale transparent but maybe the bike is too heavy ? CA is possible too but take the slow hardening then so you can play with its ideal position for a couple of seconds.

More I see, more I like! Awesome! About the sidecar, in wheeled vehicles I used to glue a pin on the under side of the tire. I don't know if it helps, but...

Now yall have been probably sayin, "Why don't Ski write?" Well, as GURU JCon knows, I've been tasked with a blog on another site for a figure SBS. I'm nearly done and thought yall might want a seek peek. When it's completed I'll post the SBS link, but for now, here goes;
Just in case yall thought I've been slackin, or playin War Thunder this whole time, HA!
Cheers, Ski.
P.S. AG, Ma Brotha, look at the eyes, something is amiss and you may see what I'm missing. Are the eye lids too bright? It's driving me batties

Steve, you did a wonderful job on this nice looking figure. The folds in the guy's clothes were painted hyper realistic, everyting perfect in balance. I don't have a clear view on the eyes but as far as I can see there's absolutely nothing wrong with them, eyelids look well done too. It's the perfectionist in you Steve, you always want to do better than the former result, don't do that, it can kill the fun in the hobby. Masterpiece !

don't do that, it can kill the fun in the hobby. You nailed it Bro. When this is done I'll post the link, but I had gone back and scrubbed these heads at least 4x's, there's two optional heads with most Alpine figs. It's been so long since I've done any flesh work I was out of my element. The timing of how this SBS came about really through off my build schedule on "Easy Pickins". But, I made the commitment back in April '17 and before I knew it Alpine had the fig in my mail box. This is one of the biggest reasons I never take on a deadlines or commit to any kind of commission work. If you want it, get it when it's done, but don't pressure me. Ah, chalk it up to a good lesson in hobby happiness, lol.
Thx for the Professional eye Ma Brotha, I really appreciated.
P.S. Thx for the comments on the jacket, the main reason I love oils
Sorry Dogfish, it is an exclusive SBS for that particular site, I agreed to it. The owner is a really good guy and has sent me stuff in the past, gotta honor my word, he deserves it. But, when it's done you can see the rest, not my best SBS, but it's been a fun one ta boot.
Bucky, Jcon, thx for the encouragement Gents, greatly appreciated.
I'm hoping to get this figure done this week and get him mounted, he's really close. Then it'll be back to "Easy Pickins", and boy howdy, do I have some cool stuff sent to me from Stevo at ReeDees' Miniatures. Wait till ya see the add ons for the BMW. Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself, lol.
Cheers for now and thx for the kind words Brothas, Ski.
P.S.S. AG, look closely at the deep crease in the back above the hand, it's got a glint that has been painted over many times, but won't go away. It's visible from most any angle and it's driving me wacky. Have you had oils do this to you before, I never have. Jcon will probably say it's a spook in the machine, Bahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......just hackin on ya Joe.

It's those Yahoodies again in yer PC Ski!!! LMAO!!! Close Brotha, graphics card. Seems War Thunder has been making some serious updates that suck a lot of juice and heat up the card. So, I had to upgrade before it had a melt down, lol.
