Woah!!! cant believe i've only just seen this thread, you have some outstanding stuff there HH, glass display unit is awesome, well impressed with the cloth interior in the "judge" some real fine detail work there, i particularly like the "ratrod" (never been sure what a ratrod was tho) love builds like that, well done mate,
posting pics,, i just get the reply box or the new thread box up on this site, minimise it, drag it to one side of the screen, than get the photo host site up at the appropiate album, minimise that and drag it to the other side of the screen and then just copy and past the pic (s) across, less messing than clicking between sites and i dunno how to load multiple pics all at once,

I reckon I should have mention that the first pic in my last post was our friend Bob. We call him BoBo or Dr. Bob Here are a couple more. This first is our class cabinet we show our cars in once they come off the shelf. Here we had just moved it into the model room. And the 69 Camaro the wife made her Dad. Thanks for looking, HH

Some good stuff going on there mate, keep meaning to make one of those crok clip stands for small bits, love the display stand with the US flag on the back, well in fact both cases are good, just hooked up my case to the transformer and "it works"" as always with house mains electric when i've made somethin i switch on at arms lenght in case it goes bang ;D i'll stick some pics on later, made a wall mounted thing alongside the bed for switching stuff on, it's just got one tranny in there at the moment but i can add more when i get more colored smd strips, keep up the good works HH

Darcy, that cabinet a friend bought my wife and I for our birthdays a couple years ago now. It is 7 feet tall and over 2 feet square. He picked it up for $20. It was a jewlery display cabinet.

Popeye, I am pretty sure you don't need to go to the store to find Dummy Heads. There are plenty people wandering round with Dummy Heads on their shoulders...... HH You know a cheaper idea would be to use a full size styrefoam head for hanging a wig on. They are full size and run about 10 bucks at any hair shop around here.

Hammer, that's a very nice showcase you have! I wish mine was upright. Mine takes up a lot of floorspace. You do have to watch those lights in the top. Not only are they bright, but if ya place a model too close, the heat from the lamps could distort the plastic.

Thanks for the heads up Bucky. But there is about a foot of space between the lights and shelf. Don't seem to get to warm as lights are very well vented on top. I have been using this cabinet to about two years now and so far so good. I also tend to move my cars around every few months. And I also only run two of the lights at a time just because it is plenty bright with just two. But I will keep a check on it as I had not really thought about that. Again, Thanks for the heads up.
