Thank you John, the jury is still out on the semi gloss hood or going with the dead flat black... I have seen them both ways... will lay down the black side stripes and see what it looks like before deciding... lol!!! What do all you guys think about the hood? Flat or gloss...

Those hoods were not exactly flat. More of a matte black color. Down thru the years, as cars were restored, different finishes ended up on these hoods.

The two hoods pictured here seem to be different, but still not glossy. Hope this helps!!
