That is awesome. I pictured the one track run to go all the way to the road; as if the T-62 had run off it after being hit. Still, this is awesome. I do like the idea of having a strip of tracks to make the impression. Good idea.

Maybe some oil, or burned places on the sand around the pieces that are laying there?? Just an idea.

was he smoking in bed, crossed the Fog Line or shot by a tank? Looking fantastic, by the way!

Tracks in the sand don't line up with the actual tank tracks... adjust the burned out tank closer to the edge and possibly back it up a bit to give a bit more room between the vehicles... they seem too close to each other... just my opinion though cause you asked.

For the last year I had this sitting on the shelves behind the bench, and every time I looked at it it bothered me. I figured if after this amount of time I could not warm to it it must be bad, therefore, I disassembled it as a failure. Not being one to waste a kit I twiddled with the 62 some more and here's how it turned out by itself
Better sez I. Since it's been awhile this is the Trumpy T-62 1962 model with Fruil tracks and a CMK engine compartment. Rust was done with Rustall wash and Bragdons powders. I was going to add some US infantry figures but no one makes Gulf War era figures, at least not that I could find and converting modern to earlier was a project I wanted no part of. Perhaps some day when I'm bored
Regards, Mark

Excellent work Mark! Most impressive and effective look of a burned out tank. Congrats on getting it done.

Thanks gents
Jconn those are all 2003 and later figures so their uniforms and equipment will be different from 1991. Thanks, however, for taking the time to research for me, and the former being said, I may have to settle for the later figures if I wish to include some with this.
Duke it ain't done yet I may be able to tinker with this for the next 20 years if I last that long
A night's sleep got me sharp enough to notice things were too monotone. Therefore I stippled in some black to break things up, lighter rust tones, and some white on the burn line to simulate the ashy deposits left over from burnt paint
Getting there.
Regards, Mark

Can't help but wonder if this one went further. The burn out paint work is fantastic.
