Another memory from days gone by: Loads of kids trick-or-treating all over on the streets of one's neighborhoods. Now they are all in malls or church "trunk-or treats".

Christmas carolers singing at every house during Christmas. Now one is lucky they even hear a true Christmas carol.

My hobby shop was dangerous as I would take my slot cars and hand contoller down and pay for an hour on their large 10 lane track... there went my mowing money and putt putt golf was right next door...

How about getting yelled at by a neighbor and being so scared that your parents would find out.Now there's a good chance soneone will get sued or worse for scolding someones kids.

Nothing like going to the local candy store with my father and grandfather.The place we went to the owner actually lived behind the store,when you opened the door,the bell rang,then he or his wife came up to serve you.They had the Coke case with all the 7oz bottles sitting in ice water,12 cent comics hanging up around the store,1 cent bazookas,

Also ,the local butcher,hardware store,drug store,food market,no chains yet.

This was around 63-69 in Newark NJ
